Will it be Cousins or Monroe? ... Or Someone Else?

Here we are coming down to draft night. The Kings are looking to draft a big man, a center; everybody knows it. The only question left is whether Demarcus Cousins will be available at #5 and whether Geoff Petrie is too in love with Monroe to draft Cousins.

Player: Demarcus Cousins. C. 6'-11. 290.
Age: 19
Team: Kentucky. Freshman.
Comparison: A bigger Zach Randolph or a bigger Karl Malone?
Projection: top-5
Summary: Physical and strong. A beast in the post. Impossible to stop him once he catches the ball deep. Able to constantly get deep position. Very skilled. Good shooter and passer. Not very athletic but very mobile. Very good rebounder. Not a good shot-blocker.
NBA Role: Potential All-Star.
Verdict: Cousins would provide the Kings with sorely needed size, toughness, and post scoring.

Player: Greg Monroe. PF/C. 6'-11. 247.
Age: 20
Team: Georgetown. Sophomore.
Comparison: A more agile but less shooting version of Brad Miller/Spencer Hawes.
Projection: Mid lottery
Summary: High-post big man. Ideal for the Princeton offense. Fantastic passer. Prefers to play on the high post. Able to post up but not a good post scorer. Jump shot is inconsistent. Able to put the ball on the floor. Excel as a point center. Good rebounder. Agile but not a freak athlete. Not a good shot-blocker. Questionable if he can defend the big men in the NBA.
NBA Role: Role player.
Verdict: Petrie will no doubt loves Monroe's all-around skill.

Player: Derrick Favors. PF. 6'-10. 245.
Age: 19
Team: Georgia Tech. Freshman.
Comparison: Al Horford / Dwight Howard lite
Projection: Top-3
Summary: Strong, long and athletic forward. Already a very good defender at only 19 yrs old. Very good rebounder/shot-blocker. Offensive game is behind his defense but is expected to catch up. Has franchise player potential.
NBA Role: Potential All-Star.
Verdict: Favors is not expected to be available at #5. If he is, it's hard to see Petrie passing him up.

Player: Wesley Johnson. SF. 6'-7. 206.
Age: 23
Team: Syracuse. Junior.
Comparison: Rip Hamilton with better rebounding.
Projection: Top-6
Summary: Unorthodox player. Not good at creating his shots. Good catch and shooter. freakish athlete with great second and third jump. Good off the ball player. Good rebounder and shot-blocker for a wing. Plays both ends of the floor. Unselfish for a such a good offensive player.
NBA Role: Potential All-Star.
Verdict: Petrie will no doubt loves Johnson's offensive skill but looks like GP is set on picking a big man instead.

Player: Al-Farouq Aminu. SF/PF. 6'-8. 216.
Age: 20
Team: Wake Forrest. Sophomore.
Comparison: Gerald Wallace / Josh Smith
Projection: Mid-lottery
Summary: Long and athletic combo forward. Plays hard. Dominated in college despite not having the most polished skill. Make tough plays look easy. Potential is off the chart. Does not have a true position yet.
NBA Role: Potential All-Star.
